Accounts
How do I log in?
- Select ‘Members Portal’ in at the top section of the WASP web page, or navigate to https://weipaaquaticsportsprecinct.perfectmind.com/
- Enter your user name (email address) and password
- If you have not logged in before and you are a member, select ‘Forgot Password?’
- If you are not a member, please click on the “Sign up” button from the link in step 1
Can I use the same email as my family members?
You can share the same email address of the primary account holder, E.g. your spouse and children can have the same email as the primary parent, and you will just have the 1 log in.
How do I add my spouse and children to my account?
Once your logged into your Xplor account, you can add your family members.
Memberships
How do I purchase a membership or visit pass?
All memberships and visit passes can be purchased online, or person at the Sports Precinct and the Aquatic Centre
New members
After you purchase a membership or visit pass online, if it is the first time you are visiting the WASP, you will need to see the WASP team during staffed hours, to collect your facility FOB.
Current members
After you renew, or purchase a new membership or visit pass online, your current FOB will continue to work as per normal pending which facility your purchase is for.
How do I cancel my membership?

What types of concession do you accept and how do I purchase a concession membership or visit pass?
Acceptable types of concession include:
- Pensioner concession card
- Heath care card
- Seniors card
- Companion card
- Full time students
- Department of veterans affairs
Concession memberships, visit passes and casual entries must be purchased in person at the Sports Precinct or the Aquatic Centre, evidence must be supplied at the time of purchase.
How old do I have to be to purchase a junior membership or visit pass, and how do I purchase a junior membership or visit pass?
Junior gym memberships - you must be at least 14 years of age, and under 18 years of age, evidence of age must be supplied at the time of purchase
Junior aquatic memberships, visit passes and casual entries - you must be above 2 years old and under 18 years old
Junior memberships - visit passes and casual entries must be purchased in person at the Sports Precinct or the Aquatic Centre.
Group Exercise
How do I view the timetable?
You can view the timetable for classes on the WASP facebook page, weekly emailed newsletter, around the facility and in the customer portal here.
When do bookings become available for the week ahead?
Bookings are live every Friday at 4pm for the week ahead.
How do I book online?
Log onto the customer portal.
Can I book in person?
We encourage all members to have a customer portal account and book the classes online however, if you need to book a group fitness class in person, please see the WASP/WAC team during staffed hours.
How do I cancel a booking?
Log onto the customer portal, from there you will be able to view your booking and withdraw from the class.
What if I don’t have a membership and just want to attend casually?
You can still book into a class causally, simply head to this link, select the "Sign up" button at the top, create a profile where you will be able to view and book group fitness classes online by paying a casual fee.
Is there a class wait list?
Yes, it is imperative that members cancel any bookings they cannot attend to allow other members to participate. Once a spot has been withdrawn from, the next person on the wait list will be notified and required to accept the booking,
If the booking is not accepted within X amount of minutes, the spot will be passed onto the next person on the wait list.

How do I book a WTA facility?
WTA facilities include Andoom Oval, Kumrumja, Weipa Storm Surge Shelter, Cricket Oval, and House on the Hill.

How do I book a WASP facility?
WASP facilities include the Indoor sports court and the Aquatic Centre (including lanes and table bookings)

What if I want to have an event at a WTA/WASP facility?

Equipment bookings and hire
What equipment is available for hire?
Please view the fees and chargers for up to date equipment for hire and hire costings.
How do I made an enquiry for equipment hire?
Tennis and Squash equipment can be hired instantly online via the members portal.
All other equipment that is available for hire must be requested via email at bookings@weipatownauthority.com.au
Your request will be reviewed by the bookings officer who will then be in contact with you.
Can equipment be taken outside WTA facilities and /or outside Weipa?
Majority of equipment can only be used within WTA/WASP facilities, with some equipment able to be used outside WTA/WASP facilities.
Equipment able to be used outside WTA/WASP facilities is forbidden from leaving the WTA managed town boundary.
If you are located outside the WTA town boundary, please contact your local council for equipment hire.
WTA/WASP Programs, events and activities
Where do I view what’s on?
Programs, events and activities are promoted on the Weipa Town Authority website, WTA/WASP facebook pages, around the facilities and in the Xplor portal.
How do I book tickets/ enrol?
Click on the link provided on the website/facebook, or scan the provided QR code on posters, from here you will be required to "login" to your Xplor account, or sign up as a new user to book into the programs, events and activities.
What if I need to cancel?
Log into your Xplor account, find the booking and cancel.
Why do I have to have an account?
This enables to you manage multiple children and bookings at once, view what you have booked and cancel bookings.
Swim and Survive Program
My child hasn’t been to the swim and survive program before, what do I need to do?
Once classes have been opened for bookings, you will be able to sign your child up for the program.
How do I know what level my child is at?
You will need to participate in a verbal assessment with an instructor and your child may be required to participate in a swim assessment.
If my child is in the little wonders classes, do I have to get in?
Yes, its imperative that you participate in the class with your child.
If my child is in the little wonders classes, and I have a 2nd child who is above 6 months but not yet enrolled in school, can they attend the creche while I am participating in the lesson?
Yes your 2nd child can attend the creche in the instance you are in the water with your other child for a little wonders class, they must meet the eligibility requirements and be enrolled.
Creche Access
What membership do I need to have to access the creche?
You must hold a valid gym, combo or pool membership that is 1,3 or 12 month up front, or a direct debit membership.
Visit pass holders and casual users of the facility cannot get access into the creche.
How old does my child have to be to access the creche?
Over 6 months, up to kindy age (must not yet be enrolled in school).
Do I have to stay at the facility?
Absolutely, you must stay at the WASP facility, or the Aquatic Centre at all times and be contactable.
Can I use more than 1 session a day?
No, we would like all our families to be able to access the creche.
Will I be contacted while my child is in the creche?
Yes, you may be called to change your child's nappy, assist with their toileting, feed them, collect them if they are unwell, collect them if they are unsettled for a prolonged period of time, and you may be called to collect them if their behaviour is deemed a risk to the health and safety of other children.
Can I bring my friends child with me to the creche if I am babysitting them?
We prefer members only bring their own children however, at a minimum, the parent of EVERY child must have a valid, eligible membership, and the child must be enrolled.
Does it cost anything to use the creche?
No, it’s a benefit of being a member.
Does the creche close throughout the year?
Yes, the creche is closed weekends, public holidays and most school holidays. And at times for unforeseen circumstances.
If I have 3 children, can all 3 attend the creche?
Yes, as long as you have a valid membership, they are eligible to enter and are enrolled.
