1. Agreement is given for the named ‘Contributor’ to take part in a photography submission for the Nature's Force on Display Competition 2027.
2. The Contributor confirms that all copyright, performer’s property rights and any other intellectual property rights in and to his/her contribution (including any modifications made to the contribution) are hereby assigned and transferred to Weipa Town Authority so that Weipa Town Authority has the rights of use for print and online use of the material by Weipa Town Authority and its licensees.
3. The Contributor understands and agrees that Weipa Town Authority shall not be obliged to use or promote the use of the contribution in any form.
4. The Contributor agrees that Weipa Town Authority and its licensees may have the contribution edited, altered and added to at its sole discretion.
5. The Contributor confirms that they know of no fact(s) or circumstance that could make their contribution or any use of it illegal, in breach of any third party’s rights or likely to discredit or damage the reputation of Weipa Town Authority or its products and services or otherwise render the material unusable.

Terms and Conditions
1. Competition Overview
The 2027 Nature's Force on Display Competition invites participants to submit photographs for inclusion in the Weipa Town Authority's Get Ready Campaign.
2. Competition Period
Photo submissions open on the date announced by the organiser.
Entries close at 11:59 pm (AEST) on Friday 16 October 2026.
A winner will be selected and contacted on or before Friday, 23 October 2026.
3. Eligibility
Participants may submit multiple photographs; however, only one prize may be awarded.
4. Entry Requirements
To be eligible, photographs must:
Be submitted by the closing date. Be the original work of the entrant. Not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights of any person or organisation.
Be provided in a high-resolution digital format suitable for printing. Accurately represent the subject matter and not be generated entirely using artificial intelligence (AI). Photographs may feature landscapes, wildlife, community events, workplaces, people, or other subjects that reflect the organisation and its communities.
5. Consent and Permissions
Entrants are responsible for obtaining permission from any identifiable individuals appearing in their photographs.
By submitting an image, entrants warrant that:
They are the owner of the photograph. They have obtained all necessary permissions and consents for the photograph's use in the calendar and promotional materials.
The submission does not violate any law or regulation.
6. Judging
Entries will be judged on image quality, creativity, composition, relevance, and suitability for publication. Judging will be conducted by a panel appointed by the organiser. The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
7. Prizes
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
8. Use of Photographs
By entering the Competition, participants grant the organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to:
Publish, reproduce, edit, and distribute submitted photographs.
Use photographs in the Get Ready Campaign.
Use photographs in organisational publications, websites, social media channels, reports, newsletters, presentations, and promotional materials.
Where practicable, photographers will be acknowledged.
9.Copyright
Copyright remains with the photographer. However, participants acknowledge that the organiser may use submitted photographs in accordance with Clause 8.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected as part of the Competition will be used solely for administering the Competition, communicating with entrants, and promoting the calendar.
11. Disqualification
The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:
Is incomplete, misleading, inappropriate, or offensive.
Breaches these Terms and Conditions.
Is suspected of infringing intellectual property rights or containing false information.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a photograph, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
