2021 - Weipa Township Coastal Hazard Adaptation Strategy project (CHAS)

Published: 23rd November 2021

Have your say on the future of our coast!

The Weipa Township Coastal Hazard Adaptation Strategy project (CHAS) is all about getting ready for the short, medium and long-term impacts of coastal hazards (coastal erosion, storm tide inundation and sea level rise).

We need your help in understanding the places you value on the coast, how you use them and your concerns about current and future impacts from coastal hazards. We are also seeking your feedback on how we should respond to coastal hazards, to help inform the preparation of the draft CHAS.
