Christmas Light Competition
It’s time to light up the town! The 2024 Christmas Lights Competition is now open for entries, and we’re looking for the most dazzling displays in Weipa. Whether you’ve decked out your own home or know of a house that’s gone above and beyond, it’s time to get involved in spreading the holiday cheer!
How to Enter: You can register your own house or nominate a house with a stunning Christmas lights display. Make sure your online registrations and nominations are completed by Tuesday, 10 December 2024.
Prizes: Thanks to Mitre10, we have 3 x $500 vouchers up for grabs! The competition will feature the following award categories:
- Most Festive Display
- Most Creative Display
- People's Choice Award
People's Choice Voting: The People's Choice Award will be decided by the community! A list of nominated houses will be published on our website and Facebook page on Wednesday, 11 December, and residents will be able to cast their votes for their favourite display.
Key Dates:
- Official Judging Night: Wednesday, 11 December & Thursday, 12 December from 7pm-9pm
- Winners Announced: Friday, 13 December 2024
