The Weipa Town Authority together with the Weipa Local Disaster Management Group, have developed this page to keep you updated with everything COVID-19.

Booking your vaccination

The Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service COVID-19 vaccination rollout commenced in March 2021 in the Torres Strait, before moving to the Northern Peninsula Area and through Cape York communities.

There are three ways to book your COVID-19 vaccine, you can:

TCHHS deliver all vaccination clinics. All questions, queries and concerns are to be directed to the TCHHS.

Face Masks are now Mandatory

Face Mask Covid

 

To protect the health of Queenslandes, from 1am Saturday 18 December 2021, face masks will be required across Queensland.

You must wear in the below locations:
- Shops and retail centres
- Cinema and theatres
- Hospitals and aged care
- Public transport
- Rideshare vehicles
- Airports and planes

The Queensland Government recommends everyone in Queensland should keep a mask on them so that if you are in a situation where you may not be able to maintain pysical distance, you may have some added protection.
